I'm Done!

I finished the crocheted blue granny square afghan last night. All I have to do is block it, take a picture or two, and get the address for my cousin and I can send it off. It's turned out great and will look even bettern when it's blocked.

I love that charge you when you finish a project, don't you? Such a nice adrenaline rush comes with the sense of satisfaction. Does good things for me. :)

In other news, my therapist gave me a coupon for a one hour massage at Massage Envy. I scheduled it for this Thursday so I will be loose and pliable when next we knit. If I have sufficiently recovered from the lovely languor, I'll be starting the sleeves for my blue sweater. With the weather turning chilly, I really want to wear that thing. It'll be great.

Do crochet books talk about blocking?
Hope you enjoy the massage...it almost does more for the mind than the body...also, I hear you about finishing a project, unfortunately, I start more than I finish, but when i do finish, fantastic!...I have two items that i have/will soon finish and look forward to moving them from the WIP section to the FOs section. Yea!

I think they do talk about blocking, usually. Crochet needs to be blocked just as much as knitting does. I just reread the section on blocking in Stitch N Bitch Crochet and it says that only natural fibers need to be blocked. This blanket is all acrylic, so I can just throw it in the wash and do it that way.
